Do I need any prior knowledge before attending your workshops?

No, my workshops and training assumes no prior knowledge.

What if I have done some finance before?

Thats great because some of the jargon will be more familiar to you. Often I find even experienced people find a refresher of basic concepts useful.

Can you recommend a good book to support my learning?

Yes I can - Understanding your business finances by Johnny Martin! But I would also read Getting to Plan B by John Mullins and The Art of the Start by Guy Kawasaki.

Whats more - important cash or profit?

Good question - no one goes bust in the short term with money in the bank i.e. cash flow but the long term health of your business requires profits. Yesterdays profit turns into todays cash!

Will you be discussing accounting systems on your workshop?

Yes we will certainly be looking at this including Xero, Freeagent, Brightbook and Quickbooks.

I can’t do Maths, what do I do?

The part of your brain that does maths is the same bit that does language. Therefore there is no physiological reason you can’t do maths!

I am creative and I hate finance… what do I do?

Finance is hard for creative people whose brain is more creative - what this means in practice is not that you can’t do it but you need to allow more time. A routine is what will help hugely and we discuss this in my workshop or during my 1-1 training.

Do you do 1:1 coaching?

Yes I do!
